Hundreds of Columbia Families to Receive Support from Feed the Children, Teleperformance and Harvest Hope Food Pantry

Teleperformance USA, a division of digital business services company Teleperformance, and Harvest Hope Food Pantry are partnering with leading anti-hunger organization Feed the Children to distribute food, daily essentials and resources to 400 Columbia families Thursday, Aug. 3 from 10 a.m. to noon at 2340 Broad River Rd., Columbia.

Each participating family served by Teleperformance USA volunteers will receive:

  • 25-pound box of food such as canned vegetables, cereal, peanut butter, and mac and cheese>
  • 15-pound box of essentials like personal-care items such as shampoo, razors, toothpaste, and feminine hygiene products>

“Teleperformance is deeply grateful for our partnership with Feed the Children, and the countless charitable efforts we have accomplished together,” said Scott Barli, COO for TP USA. “Through this collaboration, we have been able to make a meaningful difference in the lives of countless families and communities in need. Together, we believe in creating a brighter and more hopeful future for those less fortunate, and we look forward to continuing our shared mission of spreading compassion and making a positive impact in our communities.”

With more than 22% of Columbia residents living below the poverty line, price hikes in transportation, food, clothing, housing and energy are stretching lower-income families’ budgets to the breaking point.

“Feed the Children is thrilled to partner with Teleperformance to help parents and caregivers who are struggling to feed their families,” said Travis Arnold, Feed the Children president and CEO. “We know that when we combine our efforts, we have a greater impact on the lives of families who need us most—right here in Columbia.”

Teleperformance has been a long-time partner of Feed the Children, supporting its various education and disaster response initiatives. Teleperformance’s generosity has played a significant part in how Feed the Children fights childhood hunger and poverty today, going above and beyond just the need for food.
