Teacher Store

Education is one of the best ways to help children break the cycle of poverty. Sadly, per-student funding for education has declined in recent years.

In 2021, survey data showed that the average educator spent $745 of their own money—without reimbursement—on school supplies for students who couldn’t afford them.

To address this problem, our Teacher Store lets qualifying teachers shop for classroom and school supplies, books and even snacks for their students at absolutely no cost to them. In 2021, our five Teacher Store locations hosted more than 29,500 teacher visits to benefit an estimated 803,500 students.

Who is eligible?

You must be an active, certified, full-time teacher in a classroom and be employed by a preapproved school district. Support staff, student teachers and paraprofessionals are not eligible. Approved teachers will be able to shop once a month from the store on designated shopping days. The approved teachers will be required to show identification upon check-in to verify their eligibility. A Feed the Children reusable tote bags will be required on each visit.
