Comprised of both groups and individuals, the Volunteer Box Brigade provides the hands that bring hope across the country. These distribution center volunteers make Feed the Children’s domestic food-distribution programs possible by sorting and screening products and preparing and assembling food and essentials boxes that our trucks deliver to our neighbors in need.
I volunteer because I feel that at Feed the Children I really do make a difference. Each box of food or necessities that I help prepare is going to go to a family in need, and I enjoy being part of the process.

Popular Volunteer Opportunities
Students interested in a career in the non-profit world, the logistics of an international organization, humanitarian work, global health and more can get real-world experience volunteering with us. We offer rewarding internships and service-learning programs at our Oklahoma City facilities. The hours depend on the specific work you’ll be doing. If you need credit for school, let us know.
If you’re a student who cares about ending hunger, we have opportunities for you in almost all our departments. Email Kevin Richardson for more information and learn about current openings at Kevin.Richardson@feedthechildren.org.
Volunteers are a valuable part of our administrative teams in all of our facilities across the country. These volunteers help ensure that Feed the Children operates efficiently every day to help those in need.
Feed the Children operates Teacher Stores—which offer free school materials and books to educators in preapproved school districts in select states. In fiscal year 2016, Feed the Children hosted 21,376 teacher visits and gave away more than $6.8 million in teaching supplies and more than 869,000 books. The Teacher Stores are a great place for people who are passionate about education to support at-risk children in their communities. You can help children get ahead by helping their teachers stock up on free materials. Come to the Teacher Stores to sort products, stock shelves, and assist with teacher registration and checkout.
Volunteering with Feed the Children keeps me involved and makes me feel useful.
