Arizona Businesses Supporting Arizona Schools with
Feed the Children’s TEACHER STORE

We believe that education is one of the best ways to help children escape the cycle of poverty. However, per-student funding for education has declined in recent years, and nine out of ten teachers spend an average of $500 of their own money each year—without reimbursement—on school supplies for students who can’t afford them.

To address this problem, Feed the Children’s Teacher Stores has offered free school and classroom supplies to educators working in some of the most challenged school districts. Our Teacher Stores provide classroom basics like paper, pens, binders, crayons and other materials along with children’s books and snacks to enhance kids’ learning and help them succeed.

In fiscal year 2020, we hosted more than 17,000 teacher visits and provided more than $10.7 million in books and school supplies that potentially benefited more than 574,000 students in 355 school districts across the nation.
