Guardia Medical, an organization dedicated to proviing PPE (personal protective equipment) to healthcare workers, businesses and millions Americans, has donated 10,000 non-medical 3 layer face masks to the anti-hunger charity Feed the Children. The masks will be provided to several of the nonprofit’s community partners across the U.S. to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
Throughout the pandemic, Feed the Children has provided emergency food, personal care items and household supplies to families hit hardest by the economic downturn. Thanks to the generosity of corporate partners like Guardia Medical, the charity also has distributed items like masks, cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer to families struggling to secure these resources on a daily basis. Seeing the situation firsthand, the nonprofit is also urging communities to continue to stand together to provide resources to their neighbors who need it most.
“Myself and the entire Guardia Medical team are delighted to have made a profound difference during the holiday season of 2020 and beyond,” said David Lowe, Marketing Director for Guardia Medical. “Our masks will act as a defense against COVID-19. Feed the Children is doing incredible work so to be able to protect so many children and staff with our PPE donation is a privilege.”
The donation from Guardia Medical will not only go to help shield families from COVID-19, but to aid other disasters as well. With the help of partners like Guardia Medical, Feed the Children stands ready to provide critical supplies to those affected by disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes and floods. The masks will provide some families support as they safely restore their communities after a disaster hits.
“It is only through partnership that we can reach at-risk families and respond to critical emergencies,” said Travis Arnold, president and CEO of Feed the Children. “Through our partnership with Guardia Medical, we can support America’s most vulnerable during these difficult times, providing much-needed resources.”

About Guardia Medical
Guardia Medical understands that many hospitals have limited to no access to PPE (personal protective equipment). As coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the US pass through the 1 million mark, there is a severe shortage of masks, gloves, sanitizer and gowns and other necessary protective equipment. Over the last eight years, we have developed strong relationships with manufacturing factories overseas through our lighting and supply chain business Bright Ideas Lighting Solutions.
When the COVID-19 crisis hit, we knew we had the ability and the obligation to utilize our experience and supply chain to provide the desperately needed PPE supplies to hospitals, clinics and 328 million Americans around the country. We bridge the gap between manufacturers and hospitals with our FDA and NIOSH premium quality products.
Let’s fight the COVID-19 crisis together and stay protected.
