Frito-Lay Partnership

Partners for Over a Decade

For more than 10 years, Frito-Lay has partnered with Feed the Children to help hungry children and their families get the assistance they need during difficult times.

Working together, we have provided families across the United States with more than 9.2 million meals, as well as everyday household items and other much-needed resources.

Building the Future Together

In 2020, Feed the Children and Frito-Lay expanded our partnership to launch the Building the Future Together initiative and support thousands of students and teachers across the U.S. at some of our most vulnerable schools.

This past year Building the Future Together delivered food to schools across the country to supplement over 250,000 meals and fill school pantries with resources kids need to thrive. Over the the 2020-2021 school year, together we distributed 500,000 pantry staples, school supplies, snacks, books and personal care items to address the needs of students and their families.

This year, we’ve set a goal for Building the Future Together to allow 667,000 students access to food and other supplies at more than 1,200 schools in underserved communities in eight major U.S. cities throughout the 2021-2022 school year.

Looking into the future, we’re excited about the potential of our partnership with Frito-Lay to benefit even more at-risk students, their families and communities so that kids can have more opportunities to grow and learn.

“[Carl Hayden Community High School] has been able to re-engage with students who dropped out… by providing food, hygiene, school supplies and clothing. We have had students… contact us for help with food and hygiene support. We are able to have conversations about the support we can provide on a regular basis for enrolled students – not to mention all the other benefits of staying in school.”

“[The pantry] has helped provide resources to our families who did not have [food or essentials they needed]. This pantry also provided snacks for students during testing weeks to all campuses in the North Forest Feeder. This year due to the pandemic, donation requests were very limited and having this donation really helped to bridge the gap for the entire community.”
