Face-To-Face Child Sponsorship Fundraising

You might meet our fundraisers at your home, outside local retail shops or on city sidewalks. Having a one-to-one conversation is a great way to hear about how you can help fight childhood hunger.

They’ll give you the opportunity to immediately sponsor a child and they use electronic tablets to securely record your name, address and additional information so we can connect with you an individual child.

Our fundraisers will be clearly identified and have a branded lanyard or bag, ID badge with name, ID number and photo. They will ask for regular, monthly gifts via credit card; they will never ask for a cash donation. Our credit cards processes are compliant with Payment Card Industry (PCI) regulations for financial data security.

COVID-19 health and safety guidelines

Fundraisers will adhere to each market’s local guidelines set forth, and may include the below:

  • Fundraisers will maintain the recommended physical distance during every interaction with the public
  • Fundraisers will wear the necessary PPE by following CDC guidance about mask use on local COVID-19 threat level
  • Fundraisers will wear the necessary PPE including disposable masks
  • Fundraisers will carry and frequently use hand sanitizer and will practice increased hand washing
  • All interactions will be contactless with no materials exchanged except for when the fundraiser offers a friendship bracelet to the individuals that sponsor as a thank you for sponsoring
  • All fundraisers will complete wellness checks before each shift in accordance with their local government recommendations or guidelines
  • Globalfaces and GiveBridge fundraisers will enter all sponsor details into the tablet and verification will occur via a speakerphone or, if you prefer, you can receive a call back on your personal phone. Ascenta fundraisers connect via a three-way call to ensure verification of all phone numbers used. This maintains social distancing measures while upholding donor privacy to the highest standards.
