September is Defeat Hunger Month

Hunger often exists just next door

This is the reality of hunger and poverty here in America, and around the world:

  • 1 in 8 children in the U.S. are now food insecure.
  • 3 in 10 people worldwide did not have access to adequate food in 2020.
  • Poor nutrition is the cause of nearly half of the deaths for children under 5 around the world.

Join us to Defeat Hunger

September is Defeat Hunger month. For Feed the Children, this month means raising awareness for the crisis of hunger – a crisis that has only been exacerbated by the pandemic this last year and a half. It means asking others to take bold action in helping us to fortify our efforts to help families and communities achieve stable lives, while providing food and resources to help them today. It also means deeper collaboration with public and private partners to ensure everyone, everywhere, has access to the safe, healthy and nutritious food they need. This year, we're asking you to take a stand with us against hunger.
