Hunger shouldn't be normal. Over the last year, a new level of awareness has been brought to hunger and food insecurity in the U.S. and worldwide. Families who had never found themselves hungry or struggling now found themselves in difficult positions of putting food on the table. With the combined efforts of partners and donors, we at Feed the Children have been able to help alleviate some of the difficulties families have faced and continue to face. This is why I'm proud to work for the organization I work for.

To step up for children and families during this crucial time, we must draw upon the generosity, patience, and mutual care that we displayed during the height of COVID-19. We must let our experience of the pandemic become an incentive to better care for our friends and neighbors as we move forward. Whatever our “new normal” looks like in the future, widespread hunger should not be a part of it.
Feed the Children helps to bridge the gap by giving vital support to food-insecure families. By providing donated products in bulk, we supply our national network of community partners with food and essential items to distribute directly within their communities. These partners include food banks and food pantries, which have remained in high demand since the outbreak of COVID-19. In addition to food, receiving household essentials not covered by SNAP benefits, like cleaning, hygiene and personal care items, allows parents and caregivers to spend more money on food for their families.
