Wajid, a well-known speaker, healer, actor and teacher, has reached the peak of the world's tallest free-standing mountain before ... but this time he is setting his sights even higher.
In August 2009, when he climbs 19,334 feet to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa, Wajid plans to raise $1 million for hungry children and families.
He won't go it alone. Wajid's goal is to enlist 1,000 people to give $1,000 each.
These generous donors will be named on a special plaque — The Thousand That Gave A Thousand — at the Feed The Children Gift Shop & Museum's Story of Hope.
Together, we can give millions of children a reason to hope!

Wajid's inspiration for the climb is to raise awareness of donations for the Frances Jones Children's Center in Kenya which is home to the Abandoned Baby Center and the Dagoretti Children's Center for disabled children. Wajid's team visited this center in 2006 and their goal is to send all donations to assist the Centers.
Wajid and Feed The Children would like to recognize the following generous donors to The One Million Dollar Hike:
Karen L. $1,000
Jo Ellin D. $1,000
Martin L. $ 500
