When an event happens that hurts people, homes and businesses, one of the first concerns is always clean water. Your support of Feed the Children makes it possible for us to be ready at any minute to respond.
Thanks to you, on April 29, 2014, Feed the Children was able to send disaster relief supplies, including much-needed water, to help victims of tornadoes that hit the Midwest. In about six hours, we sent out emergency resources from our Oklahoma City warehouse and delivered them directly to The Arkansas Rice Depot in Little Rock.
Recently, those living near Elizabeth City, North Carolina, were able to breathe easier knowing clean water was available after six tornadoes injured 16 people and damaged 200 homes.
“Our hearts go out to all of those whose lives have been shattered by the storm, and thanks to the generous donation from many of our corporate partners and supporters, we are able to bring direct help to families affected by these deadly storms. We stand ready to help families in their time of need and will continue to respond until that need is met.” — Kevin Hagan, President and CEO of Feed the Children
