Displaced children and families need help as they struggle to return home

The national media has moved on to other headlines, but for the hundreds of thousands of families displaced by Hurricane Gustav, trying times are not over.

The poor are always the ones who feel the greatest pain during times like this. High food prices and a slow economy have made life a greater struggle for many, and now Gustav has turned their lives upside down.

When they return home they may well face shortages of food -- and of the money to buy food. That's why...

We still need your help for disadvantaged children and families.

Here's what your donation can do:

» $35 delivers 250 pounds of food and water
» $70 delivers 500 pounds of essentials
» $105 delivers 750 pounds of aid

Of course, no gift is too small. And if you are able, you may wish to donate $7,200 to deliver a full truckload of food, water, aid. That's all it costs for one of our big rigs to deliver up to 50,000 pounds of help.

Please help us care for the hurting, the poor, the forgotten.
