KIDS' SCHOOL BASICS
Budget cuts and unfulfilled requests for federal funding have left schools in dire need of education resources. Each semester, Feed The Children's Kids' School Basics targets 10 schools and shelters most in need in every state and distributes bundles of books, hygiene items, school supplies and more. Your cash donations or gifts in kind help us provide Title I schools with the supplies and tools they need to succeed
Feed The Children's Homeless Education and Literacy Program
There are 1.5 million children who are homeless in the United States and 42% of these children are younger than 6. That's why Feed The Children is dedicated to helping homeless children get the food and supplies they need to stay in school and to succeed academically. You can help too!
We partner with the National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth (NAEHCY) through public schools to distribute backpacks filled with school supplies, staples to snack foods as well as personal care items. We distributed 150,000 backpacks this school year and plan to distribute 150,000 more backpacks in the coming year.
In the event that excess funds are raised for a specific education focus, you can be confident in knowing the funds will be utilized in other areas of education to help break the cycle of poverty.
