Disaster Relief
When disasters hit at home or overseas -- whether a hurricane, flood, earthquake, tornado or even a war or conflict -- Feed The Children responds immediately with food and other emergency supplies. Our years of experience and our wide range of resources allow us to quickly and efficiently provide emergency assistance to disaster survivors and relief workers.
In the U.S.
With our own fleet of semi-tractor trailers, Feed The Children is frequently one of the first relief agencies to reach disaster-affected communities.
In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Ike in September 2008, Feed The Children dispatched dozens of truckloads of relief supplies to the victims in Texas. Vital supplies included blankets, bottled water and snack foods.
Around the World
Feed The Children responds to disasters wherever they strike, providing emergency supplies to children and their families in countries around the world.
Feed The Children has sent thousands of tents to aid the survivors of the May 2008 earthquake that decimated parts of China, leaving millions homeless. We were also able to deliver an unprecedented 13.8 million pounds of rice, a gift of the government of Taiwan, for starving children in African nations recently affected by famine, drought, and violent conflict.
We are always poised to respond in emergency situations, but we need your help now to be able to act immediately when disaster strikes. Please help us be ready to send emergency supplies when it is needed most.
