HOUSTON (February 13, 2013) On Saturday, Feb. 16, TNT analyst Kenny Smith and The AIM High Foundation are teaming with Feed The Children to deliver two semi tractor-trailers full of food and essentials to Target Hunger (2814 Quitman Street) in Houston. The items will be distributed to children and families between at 9 a.m. and noon.

This event is sponsored by Kenny Smith and The AIM High Foundation. Smith is scheduled to attend the event and the event will be featured on TNT during the NBA All-Star weekend telecast.

Feed The Children partner agency Target Hunger will identified families who will receive the food and essentials. Each family will receive a 25-pound box of food and a 10-pound box of personal care items. The boxes are designed to help a family of four, for up to one week.

More than one in three Houston children (34.7 percent) is considered impoverished. The number of impoverished children living in Texas (1,751,189) could fill the Toyota Center more than 92 times.
