Teleperformance and Feed the Children Take a Stand Against Hunger in Salt Lake City

Corporation and Nonprofits Band Together to Help 800 Families

Salt Lake City, – Teleperformance and Feed the Children are lending a hand to 800 Salt Lake City area families with food and essentials on Tuesday, Nov. 11. Families will take home enough food and essentials boxes to fill a tractor-trailer at Teleperformance USA (1991 S. 4650 W.) at 10:00 a.m.

Teleperformance and its employees are longtime supporters of Feed the Children. The event is sponsored by Teleperformance employees who will be onsite to help distribute the boxes. Volunteers from Operation Homefront and members of the Utah Jazz entertainment team will also be there.

The event is one of many that Teleperformance and Feed the Children have planned across the country, ensuring that instead of worrying about having enough to eat, thousands of kids can just be kids this year. This is the latest delivery of food and essentials to Americans in need.

Because hunger can’t be tackled alone, Feed the Children’s partner agency, Operation Homefront, has pre-identified families in need who will receive a 25-pound box of food and a 10-pound box of basic essentials.

“On behalf of Teleperformance, volunteers and those we help and serve in our communities and around the globe, I wanted to say that we are very grateful to be working with a great charitable partner, such as Feed the Children,” said Kerry Black,Regional Human Resources Manager for Teleperformance, U.S.A. “It is through collaborations of foundations, businesses and individuals like them that we are able to make a difference not only in our own communities, but around the globe.”

Hunger’s roots go deep and it hurts kids every day, in every state in the United States. In Salt Lake City alone, nearly 20 percent of families live below the poverty line. Often, these children are unsure where they will find their next meal.

“We believe in a world where no child goes to bed hungry– a world in which kids grow up wide-eyed, curious, playful, eager to learn, strong, joyful, and full of dreams,” said Kevin Hagan, Feed the Children president and CEO. “Teleperformance employees are doing so much more than giving food and essentials. They are helping kids be kids.”
