Ignite 07 Community, Inc. and Feed the Children Fight to End Hunger in Blytheville

Church and Nonprofit Come Together to Help 800 Local Families

BLYTHEVILLE, ARK., – For the sixth year, Ignite 07 Community, Inc. and Feed the Children will deliver two semitrucks of food and essentials to 800 Blytheville-area families in need. Distribution of the boxes will begin at 9 a.m., Sat., Dec. 12, at the Blytheville Public Schools Service Center (3933 E. State Hwy 18). This event is part of Ignite 07 Community, Inc.’s Christmas Outreach program.

Because hunger can’t be tackled alone, Feed the Children’s partner agency, Ignite 07 Community, Inc., has pre-identified families who will each receive a 25-pound food box; a 10-pound box of basic essentials like shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and personal-care items; and a box of assorted Avon products.

The event is one of many that Feed the Children has planned across the country. In Blytheville alone, 28 percent of families are living below the poverty line. Often, these families and children are unsure where they will find their next meal.

“Feed the Children is proud to partner with Ignite 07 Community, Inc. today,” said Travis Arnold, Feed the Children Interim CEO/President and COO. “We know that when we combine our efforts, we will have a greater impact on the lives of families who need us most—right here in America.”
