We believe that we should create a world where no child goes to bed hungry. Just as important, we believe that we can. Since 1979, Feed the Children has grown into one of the largest U.S.-based charities. We collaborate with partners, donors and communities to make the biggest improvements possible and hold ourselves accountable at every step. We are accredited by the BBB Wise Giving Alliance and have a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator.
By banding together and challenging convention, we are working to defeat hunger both in the United States and around the world.
In fiscal year 2013, our partnerships enabled us to give $215 million in food and essentials to over 10 million individuals in the U.S. Because school is the best way to help kids escape poverty, we help them attend and finish school by distributing backpacks to homeless children and offering free books and supplies to educators through our Teacher Stores.
Around the world, Feed the Children provides nourishing meals every school day to more than 350,000 children. In fiscal year 2013, the organization distributed over $129 million in food, medicine and other essentials to children in 18 countries. Via child sponsorship, school sponsorship and other projects, we help kids be kids by feeding them today and addressing the root causes of poverty so they won’t go hungry tomorrow.

It’s summertime, and with summer break comes the laughter of carefree children in many neighborhoods… But not all of them. When the final school bell rings, millions of kids head home to empty refrigerators…
