Here’s how to get started:
- Read through the options, and look for categories that fit your skills, time and location.
- Create a profile on MyVolunteerPage.com.
- Complete the online Volunteer Application. It’s a little long, but when you answer all the questions, it really helps us match you to opportunities.

Story of Hope Docents
Our docents give scheduled visitors tours of Feed the Children’s Story of Hope exhibit in Oklahoma City.
Helping people understand what causes hunger, what the consequences are and what we can do about it is tricky. The wrong words could demean the people we’re trying to dignify and reinforce wrong ideas about what helps and what hurts.
We choose our docents carefully and provide lots of training so you know what you’re talking about when you give your first tour.
Students interested in a career in the non-profit world, the logistics of an international organization, humanitarian work, global health and more can get real-world experience volunteering with us. We offer rewarding internships and service-learning programs at our Oklahoma City facilities. The hours depend on the specific work you’ll be doing. If you need credit for school, let us know.
If you’re a student who cares about ending hunger, we have opportunities for you in almost all our departments. Email Kevin Richardson for more information and learn about current openings at Kevin.Richardson@feedthechildren.org.
